Andre Ward’s Lawsuit against Promoter Goossen Dismissed in LA Court!

It has been roughly ten months since we’ve seen undefeated super middleweight champ Andre Ward in the ring… And it looks like we won’t be seeing him gloved up for a while.

Ward has been fighting to leave Promoter Dan Goossen and have his contract with Goossen-Tutor promotions terminated but it looks like he has lost another round against the L.A based promoter.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Holly Kendig has dismissed  Ward’s latest attempt to terminate his contract. Ward had contended that his contract with Goossen violated California Labor Code Section 2588.  The Court also noted that the California State Athletic Commission had already ruled against Ward in two separate arbitration meetings pertaining to the contract.

Ward still has a pending federal lawsuit against Goossen citing alleged violations of the Muhammad Ali Act. Goossen has responded with a $10 Million defamation suit against Ward.
