Caballero vacates title on the scale | Cotto and Canelo make weight!

Coachella’s Randy Caballero vacated his IBF title on the scale earlier today after failing to make the 118 lb. weight limit for his fight with Lee Haskins tomorrow on the undercard of Cotto vs. Canelo.

Caballero scaled in at 123.5 lbs., so far off the mark that the Nevada State Athletic Commission did not allow Caballero time to make any attempts at dropping the extra weight.

**Update: all attempts to continue with Caballero vs. Haskins have stopped and according to reports, the fight has been called off.

Tomorrow night’s main event however is a go, both Miguel Cotto and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez came in on or under the contracted catch-weight of 155 lbs.

Puerto Rico’s Cotto scaled in at 153.5 lbs. and Mexico’s Canelo Alvarez came in right at 155.
