Freddie Roach predicts KO in 6!

During an early morning media conference call,  trainer Freddie Roach said his fighter Manny Pacquiao would stop his opponent Brandon Rios inside six rounds when they meet in Macau China on November 23rd.

“We need to look impressive in this fight and we’re doing everything possible to do that” stated Roach “I feel like Manny is going to outbox [Rios] and knock him out inside of six [rounds]”

The hard-nosed brawler Rios has never been stopped in his 32 fight career and has only hit the deck once early in his career. A fight he would comeback to win by KO. The hall of fame trainer is apparently banking on Rios’ well documented weight issues. In 2011 Rios was forced to vacate the WBA lightweight title when he missed weight in his bout with John Murray. Six months later Rios was again unable to make weight and forfeited his chance to fight for the vacant title versus Richard Abril.

“We see [Rios] wearing plastics all the time because he has to lose weight.” said Roach “He’s moving from 140 to 147 and he still has to lose weight. That tells you what kind of discipline he has and I think we’re gonna take advantage of that”

Pacquiao vs. Rios is a twelve round welterweight clash for the vacant WBO title, live on HBO Pay-per-view
