Injury sidelines Gomez vs. Corley!

The off-and-on career of young prospect Frankie “The Pitbull” Gomez is once again stalled in a lull.

The highly regarded East L.A prospect was set to face his toughest test to date in Veteran DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley next Saturday but was forced to withdraw on Thursday due to a leg injury suffered in training.

“We have to wait for a doctor’s report and see where he goes from there” Golden Boy matchmaker Eric Gomez told Boxing Scene’s Francisco Salazar.

The co-featured bout between hometown fighter Randy Caballero vs. Miguel Robles will now headline the Fantasy Springs Casino event presented by Golden Boy and televised on Fox Sports Net.
