Javier Padilla, Focused and motivated for 3rd pro fight

This Saturday at the Agua Caliente Resort and Casino, World Fighting Championships presents WFC 73 featuring undefeated lightweight prospect Devin Haney taking on Angel Aispuro in the main event.

The undercard will feature a number of local talents, one being unbeaten featherweight Javier “Javi”
Padilla. The 22 year-old will be fighting in his own backyard for the third time and will look to improve on his 2-0, 2KO’s record.

“My first two fights were good but for this one I changed my diet, I ate healthier and got more serious about my diet. I took a month off and stopped drinking soda so I think that’s going to be a big factor in this fight says Padilla, who recently became a father “That’s the reason why I came back to boxing and took it more serious because of my daughter. I have an extra mouth to feed so I have to go extra hard and grind harder. It’s more motivation to work harder, finish my opponents and come back with a victory.”

For now Padilla plans on continuing to campaign at 122 lbs. But says he feels comfortable making the jump to 126 lbs. If need be.

Catch Javier Padilla this Saturday at the Agua Caliente resort and Casino located in Rancho Mirage California. Tickets for the 6 fight card are available at WFCFights.com and prices range from $25 general admission to $60 ringside seats.

Event is 21 and over with doors opening at 6 PM.
