Back from another thrilling performance, Argentinian slugger Lucas Matthysse will face undefeated Viktor Postol on October 3rd at the Stub Hub Center in Carson Ca. Odds makers have Matthysse an early favorite over the Ukranian despite Postol’s unbeaten record and height/reach advantage.

Matthysse’s all action style and heavy hands (83% KO Ratio) have made him a fan favorite and earned him the “Fight of the Year” in 2014 when he came off the canvas twice to stop John Molina. His 12 round Slug-fest with Ruslan Provodnikov in April is a clear runner for 2015’s “Fight of the Year”.

Postol made his US debut in 2012 and registered a 1st round KO victory over Henry Aurad.  He returned in 2014 and stopped Selcuk Aydin in eleven rounds, despite not being known for his punching power (41% KO ratio).

The 32 year-old Matthysse currently sits at -250 according to Bovada.com while the 31 year-old Postol comes in as the underdog at +195.

The two will step into the outdoor arena at the Stub Hub -nicknamed the War Grounds- with the vacant WBC super lightweight title up for grabs.
