Undefeated super featherweight Javier Fortuna (29-0-1, 21 KOs) stopped Carlos Velasquez (19-2, 12 KOs) in the tenth round of a scheduled twelve on Tuesday night at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. Fortuna floored Velasquez in round and continued to dominate the action until an accumulation of shots and punishment had referee Russell Mora stepping in to stop the action in the tenth. Fortuna retains his WBA super featherweight strap which he won in May.

“As I was hurting Velasquez, I would look over to his corner because I wanted them to understand that I could go the full twelve rounds and I wasn’t going to stop until that final bell.” -Javier Fortuna

Undefeated cruiserweight  Andrew  Tabiti (12-0, 11 KOs) scored a second round TKO over Tamas Lodi (16-6-2, 13 KOs). Tabiti dropped Lodi in round two with a crushing right hand and it seemed to be over but surprisingly Lodi made it to his feet and survived the round. Unfortunately for him, his corner had seen enough and called for the stoppage. Referee Jay Naydee waved it off at the corners request before the start of round three.

In a clash between 2 undefeated super welterweights, Domonique Dolton (17-0-1, 9 KOs) and  Oscar Molina (13-0-1, 10 KOs) fought to a ten round majority draw. While Dolton seemed to be the more active of the two, Molina clearly landed the more effective punches. Scores were 97-93 Dolton, 95-95, 95-95.

Middleweight contender J’Leon Love (21-1, 11 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over late sub Marcus Upshaw (18-15-4, 9 KOs). Scores were 98-92 and 99-91 twice.
