Richard Schaefer leaves Golden Boy

Looks like it is official. After ten years with Golden Boy Promotions, longtime CEO Richard Schaefer has chosen to leave the L.A based promotional company he helped build.

“It’s time to move on to the next chapter of my career” Schaefer said in a press release sent out today. “I have succeeded in banking and I have succeeded in boxing, and I look forward to the next opportunity”

The former Swiss banker turned boxing promoter remains a shareholder according to the release and says he has a “Strong interest” in the company’s success as it moves forward…
