ROBERTO DURAN AS VIP AT FRIDAY, MARCH 8 SHOBOX EVENT

Panamanian patriot and relentless boxing veteran, Roberto Duran will greet fans at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. prior to the March 8 edition of ShoBox: The New Generation featuring Hugo “The Boss” Centeno Jr. and KeAndrae “Lightning” Leatherwood.

In a career that spans five decades, Duran’s lights-out right punch has stopped some of the best boxers in their tracks. He holds multiple titles including the WBC Lightweight Champion, WBC Welterweight, WBA Light Middleweight , WBC Middleweight and WBA Junior Middleweight Champion. His seemingly endless stamina and persistent ferocity have pitted him against many of the world’s best light and middleweight fighters, arguably making Duran one of the 10 best boxers of all time.

Duran will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. inside the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center.  The meet and greet is open to the public with the purchase of a ticket to the event.

Centeno vs. Leatherwood, a 10-round junior middleweight bout, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m. PT on fight night with the first bell sounding at 5:15 p.m. PT.  The ShoBox: The New Generation telecast will air live on SHOWTIME beginning at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).
