Shane Mosley returns against Pablo Cesar Cano

“Sugar” Shane Mosley announced his retirement in May of 2012 following 2 consecutive losses, a one-sided beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao in 2011 followed by a wide decision loss to Saul “Canelo” Alvarez a year later. In the 2 fights, the 41 year-old managed to win just 1-2 rounds out of 24 and hit the canvas in his bout with Pacquiao.

On Tuesday Shane Mosley announced that he will once again lace up the gloves and take on Pablo Cesar Cano in a 12 round battle at welterweight on May 18th from Cancun, MX. and televised on Televisa.

It’s a huge step down from his days on HBO and Showtime but word is neither outlet had any interest in Mosley’s next fight…
