Silver Gloves withdraws from USA Boxing!

USA Boxing has informed it’s membership that Ray Rodgers, President of Silver Gloves has made the decision to withdraw Silver Gloves as a group member of USA Boxing.

USA Boxing Executive Director Anthony Bartkowski was officially notified of this decision in writing and has responded to Ray Rodgers that USA Boxing acknowledges that Silver Gloves will no longer be a group member of USA Boxing.

As a result, in the future NO Silver Gloves events will be covered by USA Boxing insurance Nor will USA Boxing Sanction Those Events. If any member of USA Boxing participates in any unsanctioned event that member will be subject to suspension.

USA Boxing has always felt from the grassroots level that Silver Gloves has been a very important program for our young athletes. I have always respected the silver gloves program especially donating funds to the Colorado State Program over the past years. –USA Boxing President, Hal Adonis
