DIEGO, JESSE MAGDALENO, RODRIGUEZ and FALCAO Headline Top Rank Live from Hawaiian Gardens!

FEB-2014-posterforwebfinalLOS ANGELES, CA (January, 2014) – The first big boxing show of the year comes to the greater Los Angeles area on Saturday, February 15th at the C. Robert Lee Activity Center in Hawaiian Gardens California.

Top Rank brings back boxing to Hawaiian Gardens, as a trio of top contenders, along with the highly awaited debut of 2012 Olympian Esquivia Falcao in a show presented by Tecate and Unimas.

The featured fight of the evening will see the high octane former WBO Super Featherweight title challenger and current NABF champion Diego Magdaleno 24-1, (9KOs) hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada.
The southpaw speedster will be facing the Philipines own, Ernie Sanchez 14-5-5 in a ten round Lightweight bout.

Magdaleno, will be looking to impress once more, as the fighter is on the title hunt and is coming off an impressive win over tough-as-nails Edgar Riovalle at the Stub Hub Center in September of last year.

Magdaleno’s youger sibling, KO artist, and fellow southpaw, Jesse Magdaleno will be taking on the battle-tested, Mexicali, Mexico’s Roberto Castaneda 20-5-1, (15KOs) in an eight round Super Bantamweight fight in the co-featured bout.

Magdaleno is on the fast track for a world title shot, having stopped 13 of his 17 opponents, all inside four rounds.

Fan favorite, never in a dull fight, Riverside, California’s favorite son Saul ”Dinamita” Rodriguez 11-0-1, (8KOs) who makes a habit of scoring highlight reel-type KO’s will face an opponent TBA in another featured scheduled six round fight.

In a highly looked upon bout and Top Rank’s newest acquisition, 2012 Brazilian Olympian, Esquiva Falcao will be making his pro debut in a six round scheduled Super Middleweight bout, facing Kansas City’s Paul Harness 4-4-1, (3KOs).

Falcao came to prominence by winning the Middleweight bronze medal at the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships and going on to defeat Anthony Ogogo, Zoltan Harcsa and Soltan Migitinov in the 2012 Olympics, becoming the first Brazilian Olympic finalist.

Light Heavyweight, Trevor McCumby 13-0, (10KOs) who stole the show at the same venue in his war against Ricardo Campillo, will be taking on another big hitter in Chris Eppley 10-3, (9KOs) in a bout
scheduled for six rounds.

Sukhrab Shidaev 10-0, (7KOs) faces Yosmani Abreu 4-7-2 in a six round Lightweight bout.

Gary Salazar takes on Carlos Salazar in a four round Lightweight bout.

Danny Ramirez and Adam Fiel will be fighting respective four rounders against opponents TBA.
