Undefeated lightweight Omar Figueroa (15-0-1, 11 KOs) blew out Ramon Ayala (23-2-1, 11 KOs) in two rounds Friday night at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio Ca.

Figueroa overwhelmed Ayala with a barrage of punches in the first round and landed a left hook to the body that nearly dropped him. Ayala ate a huge right hand at the bell and stumbled to his corner at the end of the first. A brutal body attack would end it in the second round. Another left hook to the body began the series and a follow up whirlwind of shots put Ayala down for the count. Despite Ayala making it to his feet, Referee Lou Moret would not let him continue.

Unbeaten Randy Caballero (14-0, 7 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over a tough Jose Luis Araiza (29-5-1, 20 KOs) and claimed the vacant NABO bantamweight title.. Caballero dominated the opening half of the fight with superior speed and accuracy but Araiza worked his way back into the fight with numerous right hands once he decided to let his hands go. However, in the end it was the more active Caballero ahead on points after ten with scores of 98-92, 98-92 and 97-93.
