Final Words: Golovkin vs. Jacobs

Fight week officially kicked off today with the final press conference before Gennady Golovkin and Danny Jacobs enter the ring at the Madison Square Garden  in NY.

Danny Jacobs: This is a great opportunity for me, this is the biggest. I would have never thought, five years ago, going through a whole bunch of craziness outside the ring, that I would be fighting for the middleweight supremacy. I wouldn’t want to have it no other way. This is it, boxing at Madison Square Garden. From when I first walked into this building to now. Five Days from now, I have a chance to become champion. The undisputed middleweight champion. I’m so focused, so ready.  This will be fun for however long it lasts.

Gennady Golovkin: I’m very excited. There are just a couple more days until an amazing, dramatic show. I hope Daniel Jacobs is ready and I hope he had the best training camp. This is a chance for me and Jacobs to show world class boxing. I promise we will bring an amazing show.
