Jacobs destroys Lorenzo in 3!

In the debut of Golden Boy Live, a Monday night fight series, Danny Jacobs (26-1, 22 KOs) destroyed Giovanni Lorenzo (32-5, 24 KOs) in the third round of a scheduled ten to claim the vacant WBC Continental Americas Middleweight belt.

Jacobs threw a four punch combination that ended with a left hook-right hand combination that floored Lorenzo in the third. Referee Steve Willis waved it off as a clearly hurt Lerenzo struggled to make it to his feet.

“I knew I had the skills over him and I knew he had the experience” said the Brooklyn NY fighter “I knew he was strong but once he hit me with the left hook, the Brooklyn came out of me and we got him out of there”

The six fight card from the Best Buy Theatre in New York and televised on Fox Sports 1 also saw undefeated Eddie Gomez stop 24-2 Steve Upsher Chambers in the fourth, 4-0 Terell Gausha KO 5-3 Austin Marcum, 5-0 Marcus Browne kept his perfect record intact with a first round KO of 1-1 Robert Hill and Emanuel Gonzalez and Gary Beriguette both scored four round unanimous decisions over their perspective opponents.
