Leo Santa Cruz added to Mayweather-Pacquiao!

According to ESPN’s Dan Rafael, super bantamweight title holder Leo Santa Cruz has been officially added to the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao card on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Apparently the bout will be the co-feature but no opponent has been announced.

“I’m so honored to be the lead-in for Mayweather versus Pacquiao and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to do so on Cinco de Mayo weekend,” Santa Cruz told ESPN.com “This will be a huge night for boxing and I plan on showing everybody that I’m all about action-packed fights. I’m grateful to Floyd Mayweather and Mayweather Promotions for giving me this opportunity and giving the Mexican fight fans another reason to cheer on May 2.”

Santa Cruz is coming off a TKO victory over Jesus Ruiz in January where he successfully defended his WBC strap. It has not been confirmed whether or not that title will be up for grabs on May 2nd.
