Mauricio Herrera To Face Mike Alvarado On April 14th!

According to reports, Jr. Welterweight Mauricio “El Maestro” Herrera and “Mile High” Mike Alvarado will meet on April 14th as the co-feature to Brandon Rios vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The scheduled ten rounder will open the HBO telecast.
Herrera (18-1, 7 KOs) won a 10 round majority decision over Mike Dallas Jr. on June 24th at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA in his last fight.
“This is one of my biggest moments in my career, It’s my time to shine now!” Herrera posted on his FaceBook page on Tuesday.
Alvarado (32-0, 23 KOs) scored a come-from-behind 10th round TKO over former lightweight contender Breidis Prescott on November 12th in his last bout.
