Despite early rumors that he wasn’t going to be able to make weight, WBC Jr. middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez did in fact make the 152 pound catch-weight that he and Floyd “Money” Mayweather agreed to. Maywetheather, the welterweight  champ came in as expected, well under the limit at 150.5.

The two weighed in before 12,200 screaming fans and now the only thing left to do is rehydrate and step into the ring at the MGM Grand tomorrow night..

“We ready to fight, what more can I say” said Mayweather who attempted to hand Canelo the belt for photos but was denied “You know how these young kids are. Tomorrow  I have to go out and tame the kid”

“I reached the weight yesterday, I was calm because I knew I had reached the weight” Said Canelo. When asked if he was ready, he said “I was Born ready”

In the highly anticipated co-feature and expected to be the highlight of the night, for hardcore fans, Jr. welterweight title holder Danny Garcia came in a half pound over the 140 lb. limit but easily made weight on his second try. His opponent, the hard hitting Argentine Lucas Matthysse hit the mark right at 140.

On the undercard, Ishe Smith (151.5) takes on Carlos Molina (153) and Ashley Theophane (142) takes on Pablo Cano (141.5)
