Perez Fails Drug Test!

Various news sources are reporting that super featherweight contender Eloy Perez has allegedly tested positive for cocaine following his KO loss to Adrien Broner last month.

It was also reported that the Salinas Ca. fighter was released from his management group, Team Garcia following the positive test result.

Manager Kathy Garcia confirmed that Perez was let go the same day the tests were received but declined further discussion on the matter.

“Due to pending matters, we are not at liberty to discuss his personal and professional conduct,” Garcia told the Monterey Harold.

Perez faces an indefinite suspension of his license pending a hearing. The boxer has the right to appeal any ruling.
