Hot! Rios-Abril and Herrera-Alvarado, Final Words!

Rios and Abril in L.A

I was going to write a basic lead-in into today’s final press conference quotes from Las Vegas but when I got to typing out the quote from Mercito Gesta’s Manager Vince Parra… His words summed up this card and along with the L.A press conference scuffle between Rios and Abril, I’m actually looking forward to Saturday night.

We want to thank Top Rank for saving this show when Yuriorkis Gamboa backed out. Brandon Rios is a real warrior, Richard Abril stepped up and they saved this card. This is going to be one of those pay-per-view cards that exceed the expectations. Usually it’s the big cards that people pay all the money for and they get a sh*t show. You got guys on here that are hungry and they want to show that they are the best.

Brandon Rios, like he says,  He’s a “f*ck’n warrior” and Richard Abril is going to try and shock the world!

Mauricio Herrera and Mike Alvarado are going to go to war and if people don’t buy this fight, then they’re going to miss a great night of action. –Vince Parra

Richard Abril:

I’ll start by saying, I feel good and I’m well prepared for this fight.

I just want to tell Brandon Rios that I’m here and I’m not afraid of him, I’m the one who looked for this fight. He talks a lot of sh*t because he’s not 100% Mexican, he’s Mexican-American, 50% Mexican only.

Fighters must be here, nice and gentle but in the ring, ferocious like a bull. And anybody who talks stupid sh*t, I’ll shut them up in the ring.

Brandon Rios:

To all my fans out there, I love you guys. You know me, I always bring an exciting show and press conference but today I’m going to keep it civil, I don’t want to get too crazy.

I think I’m doing my job right, I have (Abril) talking sh*t now. The last press conference he wasn’t so that’s great, I love it.

He’s talking sh*t now but he’s going to run. He was talking about, he’s going to break my jaw but in order to break my jaw he has to fight me and I doubt he’s going to do that. I know he’s going to fight his game, he’s going to run which is great. I’ve been training for 12 rounds and whatever he brings to the table, I’ll be ready for.

Mauricio Herrera:

A lot of people didn’t expect me to be where I’m at today but I put in a lot of hard work. I fought tough guys in the past, put in a hard 8 weeks of training and this is it for me. I had a late start in Boxing, a late start in the pro’s, a late start in the amateurs and this fight is where I make up for all that.

Mike Alvarado has a lot of heart, he’s showed that he’s a tough fighter and that’s going to make for a good fight on saturday April 14th.

This is it for me, I’m ready and I hope he’s ready.

Mike Alvarado:

This is going to be a great card, There’s a lot of great talent on this card. I trained hard for this fight and it’s one of the best camps I’ve ever had so I’m ready.

I’m ready to put on a good show like I always do and I hope Mauricio can swim because I’m taking him to deep waters.

Mercito Gesta:

I cant wait for the weigh in, I cant wait for the fight and I’m going to show my best.
