Sergio Martinez begins training camp!

On September 15th, Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez will get the fight he has been begging for. Live on HBO Pay-Per-View from the Thomas & Mack center in Las vegas, Martinez will challenge Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for his WBC middleweight title.

Last week, the two set out on a three stop media tour that ended in Mexico City on Tuesday. The posturing is now over and the trash talk is done. The only thing left for the two is to buckle down and prepare for what could be the toughest, most monumental fight of their careers.

“If the fight is not so easy for me, it will be extremely difficult for Chavez because I’ve forged a 17 year career with many sacrifices and hard work. I’ll win by knockout” Said Martinez from Mexico City. “I’m psyched and confident that this night, I’ll will be the winner”

On Wednesday, Martinez started day one of the two month training camp that will lead him to the world title.
