Antonio Orozco dominates Martin Honorio in Del Mar!

Undefeated light welterweight Antonio Orozco (19-0, 15 KOs) lived up to his “Relentless” moniker on Thursday night, beating veteran Martin Honorio (32-8-1, 16 KOs) after ten rounds at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar Ca.

Orozco, of San Diego domitated a bloodied Honorio for ten rounds and despite being well ahead on the cards, kept the pressure on til the final bell. All three judges would have the 23 year old Orozco on top with scores of 100-89, 100-89 and 99-90.

Also, Super bantamweight prospect Manuel “Tino” Avila (15-0, 5 KOs) knocked out a game David De La Mora (25-6, 18 KOs) in the second round of a scheduled ten. It was an entertaining matchup while it lasted. De La Mora came out swinging and had some success but was tagged by a left hook that sent him to the canvas in the second round. A follow-up three punch combination dropped a hurt De La Mora moments later. Avila attacked De La Mora with a barrage and scored a third knockdown before referee Pat Russell stepped in and waved it off at 1:52.
