Unbeaten super bantamweight Randy Caballero (18-0, 10 KOs) scored a seventh round KO over a tough Miguel Robles (12-3-2, 5 KOs) on Saturday night at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California.

Caballero had his hands full with the Puerto Rican fighter but a vicious body shot in the seventh sent Robles crashing to the canvas and in obvious pain.  A couple of earlier shots seemed to soften up the mid section of Robles and a crippling left hook to the stomach finished the job.  Robles was counted out by referee Jack Reiss as he remained on the canvas. Time was 2:06.

“In the beginning, we wanted to out-box him and keep him at a distance but after the fifth round I told my dad [Trainer] ‘It’s not working, lets change it up and go inside.”  Said Caballero “We took him inside and worked the body, I seen him slowing down and that body shot just went in perfect”

On the undercard,

2012 Olympian featherweight Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz (6-0, 4 KOs) stopped Luis Cosme (8-3-1, 4 KOs) in the first round of a scheduled six. An over-hand right to the head, followed by a left hook to the body dropped Cosme to the canvas. Referee Jack Reiss would wave it off after a ten count. official time was 2:09.

2012 Olympian junior middleweight Errol Spence Jr. (7-0, 6 KOs) also crushed his foe Eddie Cordova (4-5-1, 1 KO) with a crippling body shot in the opening round. Time was 2:13

Junior lightweights Eric Ituarde (5-0-1, 0 KOs) and Humberto Zatarin (3-1-2, 0 KOs) fought to a four round unanimous decision draw. Scores were 38-38 all around

Local fighter Angel Osuna (11-3-1) scored a second round KO over Christian Nava (2-4-1) at the 2:08.

Heavyweight Alex Rivera (1-0) stopped C.J. Leveque (0-1) at the 2:07 mark of the first round of his pro-debut.
